When the NHS Information Authority needed a stand contractor they could trust for their high profile Annual Conference and Exhibition at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, they chose e-xhibitions.net.
The Information Authority plays a key strategic role within the NHS and was formed specifically to help improve efficiency and standards of health care within the NHS through developing a more effective IT Infrastructure - allowing for a more efficient national system of electronic health records as well as better access to relevant information and research for improved decision making.
The annual NHS IA Conference and Exhibition is specifically organised to provide a forum - for the participation of all stakeholders (including NHS staff, patients, the public, suppliers, partners, the medical profession and the healthcare profession) enabling the communication of progress, feedback, concerns, needs, ideas, views and information. In a highly competitive pitch for the NHS contract, e-xhibitions.net emerged as the clear winner despite being up against some of the biggest stand builders in Europe.
Their brief was to custom design their anchor stand at their own conference - an island stand that would reflect the modern, forward looking, technology embracing and efficient face of the NHS. It also had to clearly project its’ core brand image and values as well as being visually exciting to look at (and inviting) to encourage as many delegates to want to visit the stand.
The custom stand would also need to be modular to be usable throughout their exhibition programme for the year in 9m x 8m, 8m x 6m, 6m x 4m and 6m x 3m configurations. The winning e-xhibitions design solution included the following features:- plasma screen, 9 PC workstations, hospitality area, stand canopies with lighting effect, 3 light boxes and ramp access.

Founded in 1895, Muirhead Aerospace is a world-leading specialist in design and manufacture of high performance motion technology products within the Aerospace Industry. Muirhead is a key supplier of motors, actuators, sensors and regulators to both the civil and defence aviation sectors.
A lot of good things have been happening at Muirhead Aerospace in recent years which had not gone without notice within the aerospace industry. As a result Muirhead was recently acquired by Esterline \echnologies and now operate worldwide within the Auxitrol Aerospace Group.
With a busy exhibition schedule including Farnborough, Helitech and The Defence Show, Muirhead needed to replace their old exhibition stand to reflect their new corporate identity market position. They wanted a modular stand that could be used in a range of formats at different shows. The new stand also had to have a greater impact and presence and have much stronger corporate branding.
The e-xhibitions.net design team came up with a solution that included large curved columns at each end of the stand connected by high-level corporate banner display panels to give the stand real impact and status as well as to make it more visible as it towers over its neighbours. It was also designed in an open-plan format with lots of lighting and built-in displays to give it a greater feel of space as well as to make it feel more inviting to walk onto.
